Thanksgiving Eve (Wednesday Before Thanksgiving)

Thanksgiving Eve is always a fun event. People come in from out of town and inevitablly, that wednesday is a great night to catch up with old friends at local bars. Now, in the past I have spent all Thanksgiving Eve's in San Diego, usually heading to PB to meet up with friends. Year in and year out all the bars would be packed with familiar faces (more often than not, Plum Crazy). This year I spent a great Thanksgiving Eve(and thanksgiving) with my fiance's family in Sonoma. And contrary to popular belief, Sonoma was rockin! Every bar was packed! Divina saw familiar faces at all 3 of Sonomas bars.

My favorite part of Thanksgiving Eve was when we were at Steiner's having a beer when I looked behind the bar on the wall. "Cool, two shotguns!" I turn and look behind me, "Cool, two more shotguns," on the other wall. That is the moment when I decided to count the number of guns on the walls of this bar. BTW this bar was about the size of Froggy's, and for you San Diego readers, about the size of the Comber. So after my quick game of eye spy guns on the wall, I counted ELEVEN shotguns and hand guns in all on the walls! All I can say is that Sonoma was pretty damn cool.

This local celebrity can be seen in Union Square almost every day. As you can see from the picture, he suits up in a very loud suit and today he was wearing a red bowtie. (Sorry for the bad pic from the back but i was driving when i got the pic)

The Streets of SF...

So I was walking home from north beach last night when I saw this young gentleman minding his won business. I was on the down slope of Pioneer Park (very steep hill) when this blacked out/passed out man was on his front stoop. Pants down, shoes on and using the top step as a pillow.

It was AWESOME! If he fell of his steps, he would have totally rolled down the street/hill and probably all the way into the bay!

What comes first, the chicken or the egg?

This timeless question can now be asked of the chargers offense. What comes first, the run or the pass. In other words, does the run still set up the pass or should the pas now set up the run.

In past years this was a no brainer...LT sets up the pass for Rivers. I think we need to start to be realistic, the pass needs to set up the run. This is just the way the offense is going work.

So let me ask you, does the Chargers offense need to set up the run with the pass or visa versa?

The God Father of Steroids

Not sure how many of you caught Jose Canseco on A&E the other night. Either way there was a documentary on Jose Canseco and what he is doing these days.

Apparently, because of his 25+ years of steroid use, his body has trouble producing testosterone. Wow...who would have though that would have happened to a juiced body?!?!

That being said he dubbed himself, "The God Father of Steroids" in MLB. Ever since the minors he was a user and he shared his knowledge of steroids with every teammate who asked. Notables he shared his steroid expertise with: Mark McGuire, Sammy Sosa, Ralfeal Palmero, Juan Gonzales and Pudge Rodriguez.

He concluded the documentary by saying he was sorry for the book he wrote and all the people he hurt in doing so. Was he really sorry? I think he is more sorry he is broke!

There is almost no reason, ever, for a half beardo. Maybe, a Halloween Costume and...well I guess there is really no other reason for a Half Beardo.

This is quite a half beardo...long in length, full of life. Must have taken months or even years to grow. And then one day this Yahoo decides to run an EXPERIMENT! (this guy does a full on scientific experiment and the reason for the half beardo is, a control(independent) variable and dependent variable to see if his beardo kept him warm.)

In today's installment of Beardo, we will look into the Play Off beardo. You see this towards the end of any season. It derived from the Staley Cup Playoffs and has evolved into everyday life.

As you see, Baron Davis, grows an excellent playoff beard in crunch time. I wish someone on the Chargers would grow a regular season beard...GET SOME DAMN WINS?!?!
